Hayden Wiebe

Providence welcomes Hayden Wiebe of Garden Valley Collegiate Zodiacs to the Pilots men’s basketball team. At 6’6”, Wiebe joins a large men’s roster, showcasing 4 players of his size or larger. The left-handed big man, has length, athleticism and an exceptional touch around the rim. Known by his coaches for more then his size, but also his work ethic and desire to improve his play.

I am excited to be joining a very talented team and am looking forward to learning, practicing, and playing. I look forward to building relationships and community. After a campus visit, I felt that this is a great place to attended post secondary school. The campus and the atmosphere along with the people I was able to meet, were welcoming. I am so grateful to God and coach Pierre for this amazing opportunity!” Hayden Wiebe

I had the honor of working with Hayden since he was in 8th grade, and it’s been exciting to watch him develop as a player and as a person over that time. Hayden has made massive gains in each year that I’ve known him. In high school, he was an outstanding defensive player and rebounder, who played great team defense and made it really difficult for teams to get off shots near the rim. He’s a tireless worker, and whoever is playing against Hayden will have a long night ahead of them. We are thrilled to see Hayden taking the next step in his basketball journey.” Zodiacs Head Coach, Walter Giesbrecht

“I’m thrilled with the addition of Hayden to our recruiting class. At 6’6”, Hayden brings size and a strong game inside the key. His love for the game will resonate with our team culture and players. Hayden has a great touch and finishes around the key. He can elevate really quickly and finish well with both hands from a distance. He is joining a solid group of forwards who will help him bring his game to the next level.” Pierre Dubreuil

Hayden will be entering the Health Sciences program this fall.
