Pilots Women's Soccer Sign Defender Paige Johnson from Maple Ridge, British Columbia

Making another addition to the Providence Pilots women's soccer roster, head coach Tory Walker announced Monday morning that Paige Johnson from Maple Ridge, British Columbia will be joining the Pilots for the 2022 campaign.

The 5'11" defender will be the fourth signing of the off season for what seems to be shaping up to a really strong recruiting year for the Pilots team. "We are thrilled to have Paige join our roster for next fall,” said Walker on their new defender, "Her character and love for the game is what caught our attention when meeting with her this fall, she also has a great skill set which will be a nice addition to our defending core."

The honour roll student plans on studying in the sciences this next year as well as play soccer for the Pilots. Paige currently plays for Premier Soccer Academy and Albion FC Wolves. She has experience playing in the B.C. soccer high performance league and brings a lot of physical toughness, technical ability, competitiveness and good leadership qualities to the Pilots team.

Johnson commented on her recent commitment by saying, "I am so excited to start my journey and become a Pilot."

Walker further stated the following on the addition of Johnson, "Paige loves the game of soccer and seems to play almost daily. That love for the game is contagious and is exactly the type of mentality we are looking for in players. We are looking forward to seeing how this team comes together next fall as we have high hopes for what is to come."

Welcome to the Pilot family Paige!
