Alex Patterson

Pilots women’s basketball adds their second signee of the off-season. Alex Patterson of CJS and the Mayhem Basketball Club, will be joining fellow Mayhem teammate Claire Grislis, this fall when they suit up in new navy threads for the Pilots. The honor roll student is no stranger to winning as she helped lead her JV team to a AAA title and her varsity team to a AAA final. Patterson, known for her leadership and court sense will look to grow with a Pilots team who also knows how to win.

Patterson is a well-rounded athlete who also competes for CJS in water polo, where she was a provincial finalist. Alex competes in volleyball and softball as well. When she isn’t playing one of these sports, she can be found volunteering at her school or one of the schools her parents work at. Alex is a strong academic and she comes by it honestly through the same hard work she puts into her athletic development. Her leadership spreads beyond the court through her school leadership committee and yearbook committee involvement. The Pilots are thrilled to have this 5’4” guard running with them next fall.

“I am very excited to continue my academic and basketball career at Providence, representing the Pilots! I look forward to continuing to play basketball, traveling, and competing for championships with my teammates. The Providence basketball program has amazing people, community and facilities that will allow me to further develop my skills in the game I love. I can’t wait to be a Pilot!” Alex Patterson

“Alex is as a focused and dedicated student athlete. She excels in the classroom and on the court, through hard work and perseverance. We are happy to welcome Alex to our program as we believe she fits the values of our team. I think she will thrive in our community and really enjoy her time as a Pilot.” Joel Coursey

Alex plans to enter the sciences department at Providence next fall.
