(NIVERVILLE) - Providence gave the fans everything they had hoped to see Saturday evening, as the Pilots soared to an impressive 100-53 win over the University of St-Boniface in MCAC Men's Basketball action.

Fourth-year forward, Riley Paul (Brandon, MB), recently named the MCAC's Athlete of the Week, continued his dominance posting game-highs in points, with 22 and rebounds, with 11. The 6'7 reigning co-MVP of the conference, went 4-for-6 from behind the arc and went 9-for-13 from the field. Rookie guard, Rowan Gilbert (Surrey, BC) added 14 points and 6 rebounds to help his team to the 47-point win.

The hosts locked the game down early, forcing difficult shots and several turnovers from their opponents in the opening quarter, holding USB to a mere 6 points through ten minutes. The visitors coughed-up the ball 22 times, leading to several easy baskets in transition for Providence. Rookie forward, Zion Notice (Toronto, ON) was a big part of his team's success defensively, posting 9 rebounds in the game and topped his team with 3 steals in 18-minutes played.

The win pushes Providence to a perfect 4-0 record in MCAC regular season play as the team turns it's attention south to face NIAC opponents Turtle Mountain Community College in Belcourt, North Dakota before entering the mid-season exam break. The next home action for the Pilots is January 12th and 13th when Providence hosts the Oak Hills Wolfpack at the Niverville CRRC.
